Every day on the news the same politicians bloviating and bloviating all over again about their own personal squabbles and wild goose chases distracting the populace for keeping their eyes and the prize. The same petty disputes, same bickering, and the same red herrings that avoid the real systemic problems of our government, our health, our liberty, our wars, and our corrupt finances.

And it's always the promise of a new day and so many of us buy into the new scheme. I really don't know how anyone over 40 can log-in and have to suffer thru the same old broken promises and elaborate ruses over and over again. There was the Reagan revolution, the Clinton revolution, the Bush restoration, the Obama promise, and the Trump revolution all over again. There isn't much revolutionary in any of it, just that in total it all is surely revolting.

Never a lack of scapegoats either. It's the Russians, it's Al-Qaeda, the Syrians, the Turks, the Mexicans, the Aliens, who knows, anyone but us. And you either for us or against us, a liberal or a conservative, an American or a traitor; the range of the dialectic is idiotic and offensive. Yet we are tossed on this merry-go-round of inanity time after time as we are demanded to accept easy answers and a black-n-white world where we in the U.S. are inevitably the good guys.

The farce continues, the talking heads babble on backed by corporate dollars, and the millionaire politicians rotate between corporate boards and congressionally paid holidays at resorts complimentary of lobbyists. How long will we continue to accept this sound and fury meaning nothing? Probably for a very long-time as we are far away from being educated and sophisticated enough to demand a better system. So grab a mirror and continue to enjoy your own incessant moments of narcissism as our grand leaders implore us to do.
