All of this is our history, our ancestry, our inheritance. Who are we with our purportedly massive intellects to tread so harshly and imperiously on the sacred and sanctity of life that we feel and inhale all around us. With every passing century, now every passing decade, we understand intimately the shocking limits of our knowledge, the scars of our prejudices, and the absurd limits of our capacities.
Everything is intimately connected. Everything enshrouded and enshrined in this perishable and precious gem we have commodified out of limited perspective. From space the earth appears as a single cell, a single entity organism respiring, growing, and nurturing itself. So odd and marvelous. So visionary, yet how we are so blind to its brillance.
We are all interested in doing wildly marvelous things on the blockchain. Things steeped in extreme precision, coordination, unification of purpose, and electronic visions. Yet let us always be thankful for this blanket of biological life that enfolds us and guards our dreams each night. Let us be thankful for the banquet of fresh air, water, food, soil, and creatures.
